Self Care Isn't Selfish! 

Self care is a difficult thing. It's hard work mentally, emotionally and physically. We have all created bad habits in life, in all aspects and it is even harder to break those habits. What I will always focus more on in this blog will be more related to massage therapy, the human body, energy in and around us. 

This is my first time trying to blog so I am excited and curious to see how things work. I have a passion for learning and I love sharing that knowledge with my massage clients to help them better themselves. Of course I am a tiny hypocrite lol. For 1 example I recommend my clients stretch more then once a day and to hold those stretches for 30sec but regretfully I don't always follow my advice. All comes back to making those habits. It takes 4-6 weeks to create a better habit and it just takes doing it! Life gets in the way.

Self Care Isn't Just Reactive It Is Preventative!

Taking care of your mind and body is by far selfish and no one should feel guilty for making time for yourself.  Whatever Self Care routine is to you it is important to maintain it for a healthy lifestyle because it can reduce stress, increase confidence, give you a more positive outlook on life and helps maintain a healthier relationship with yourself. Of course so many more reasons why self care is important but it will look different to each person. Find your self care routine. 

Why Massage is great for self care!?

Massage has been around a very long time. The history fascinates me! Studies have proven that massage is an effective treatment for reducing stress, anxiety and a wide range of therapeutic reasons. Massages helps the body relax, unwind, and repair itself. I could sit here all day and type away with all the benefits of massage and different modalities but I just want to try and get more people to try and include massages in their self care plan. It helps in all the categories of self care! So many people jump to going to doctors before trying holistic things first! Try Massage! You wont regret it!
